Planes buzzing all over the place here and at the farm, I am not sure if there is a air show or not, there going really fast so I doubt if they are looking for dope yet lol
Anyways, I start out today, knowing its going to be 93 air temp and probably near 80 water temp. Took out the spook but figured I better go to plastics, which I did, First flip with the jig and the line took off to wards the boat, I set the hook and my f/n line breaks, I didn't check it before hand, my own fault. I tie on a small worm hook and heavy (for me) bullet, thinking that last week they wanted a fast falling ribbon tail worm, I chose the red shad culprit, and get 3 more bass that are barely legal, but still fun, The wind picked up and I tied on the buzz bait for a change of pace, no takers, went to the scum frog and had a couple of misses. This is where they started getting finicky or just plain missing the lure or AS I stated, they DIDN'T have their teeth in yet LOL I got several that just halfaszed bite, took the tail off some of the worms, I could see bluegills taking it too, but I could also see bass with it, Took the rattletrap and had one more small one that came off right at the boat. ended up with 3 and 4 near misses, wind started picking up and its supposed to be 10-20 today, but man the humidity! I was sweating bullets from the get go, decided by 11 to come in and get a hot dog and watch some Nascar later on today... Hope ya have good luck if ya do go out, my fish today just kinda wanted it, I guess the biguns are taking the morning off. I fished deep dropoffs with weed beds , fished the inner line off the weed bed and also through it , let the rattletrap zip over an fall, wasn't meant to be I guess, Should have gone out about 5 before the sun comes up, but I was in DreamLAnd USA LOL ![]() |
