Why do you say this? Is it the A$$ hole of creation or something or what?

Or is it because you have to drive for 8 hours to get there.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it the @$$hole of creation, I thought knoxville had that title locked up, but I do remember the roads were so bad last time I was there with my folks that my Dad actually was gonna leve a note and a 1$ bill on the capitals doorstep to go towards upgrading to asphalt.

Wow but I heard Ross R. Barnett has got some good fishing and can't wait to fish there. Have you seen it before. It has gators and all kinds of stuff in it. I am thinking about getting by with ten pound line but I could get a 8lber because they are caught frequently there. Is there much to do in Jackson I mean do they got good food and stuff. We are going to go down tuesday and stay in Memphis and probably get some barbeque while were there. The rest of the team is going down on Wendnesday morning at 4am and we said the hell with that.

Go to Rendevous BBQ in Memphis, its right across the street from the Peabody hotel. Some of the best dry ribs ever made right there. Can't say I know of anything to do in Jackson, but if you get the time swing over to Vickburg - its a good battlefield.

I know almost nothing about Ross Barnett Reservoir.

yeah that bbq place you mentioned in Memphis is were we are going. I heard about it a while back in school from a teacher who was taking students in my ap history class down there for a history museum tour and they ate there. I am probably going to put on a little more weight if ya know what I mean.

WTL, last time I checked, it was more like the armpit of creation. Eastern Europe is the a**hole.

Best way to catch a bass on the carolina rig (on your to doo list)
Just keep taking that set up to the pond / lake and force yourself to keep using it until something bites it..it will
We have had more hydrilla grow about 3-4 feet this year, I guess because of the clear water till june.
It makes the C rig really hard to run, but once you get your first bass on it, you'll have all kinds of machismo
and feel confident on using it again....not that many casual anglers use it, me included, I have done it before and know it works in mid summer like now, just to busy thinking of other ways..I had one tied on once with Denny but we didnt get a chance to go to the lake I was going to use it on, and went to a pond innstead that is over vegetated...makes for heathly oxygenated waters , but limits you to top water and anything that will penetrate the massize weeds.
Last night we popped Jigs in it and had some success, but nothing over 16 inches
