Sounds ideal for a soft plastic jerkbait like a Tiki Stick.

A tiki stick or a finesse worm will do good....... A topwater lure like a frog or a spook may be a good choice early and late in the day....... Also try running a crankbait or a spinnerbait along side of those weeds......... Good Luck

Wacky rig a tiki stik. I like Watermelon Chartreuse Swirl. They definitley out produce a Yammamoto Senko in wacky rig. My wacky rig setup is a 6ft 6in Med. Quantum Tournament Grade Rod with a Rhino RBC300 baitcaster spooled up with 15lb big game. The hook I use is a Gamakatsu Finnese Circle Hook size 2/0. It is a big hook, but The stiks choke any other hook. This hook basically hooks the fish itself, so a nice firm hookset will guarentee a fish!

run a finesse worm through (if they are not really thick) or along the edge of the weeds. wait for the hits to be right on the corners. or run some kind of crankbait or a lipless crankbait along the edge.

I'd throw a 6 inch popper to the side of that mess. Make sure it has feathers on back hook and put some deer hair on the middle one...gives em somethin to aim for I guess.
