yep but the problem is #1 ya got the $200 for one? and #2 there is some lures that will not handle a blazing speed. rather slow down and fish instead of powering thru and area.

Man, I know my reel is not in the high dollar category, but I love the Rhino Baitcasters. The most dependable reel I have used(baitcaster, not spinning). I can throw wacky rig senkos miles with them!

It would be a great reel for a jig to flip & pitch with. You could pick up line quick and horse a bass out of cover quick with that 7.1:1 ratio, but your right zooker $200 is pricey.

DStu22, I agree with you on retrieving the lure faster, but I disagree on cranking a fish in.The fast ratio will have a tendacy to lock up when you hook a big fish in heavy cover. Many times I have seen the Daiwa PT33SH, 7.1:1 reel lock up leaving you very confused and having to pull with the rod for all your worth to bring the fish out of the heavy cover in order to reel him in.
