Default What is a good Finnese Rod????

Right Now, My finnese rod is an HMX Light Action 6fter. I have a Quantum XtraLite reel on it spooled with 6lb XT, and a spare spool with 4lb test Stren Original. I would like to know what your finnese rod is. And what techniques you consider to be finnese.

I still use a MH rod. Finesse fishing doen't have any bearing on the rod, when using plastics. You are moving it slowly, or deadsticking. So the rod isn't any issue, except perhaps the length. But for hooksets, I still get the MH power for a sharper hookset.

I use a 6'6 M action All-Star spinning rod. I like to throw a ballhead jig witha trick worm or a 4 in. finesse worm and thats about as finesse as I get.

The Rod I use, and for me, so far I have not found a better rod for Finesse fishing than John's rod with the Wooden Grips...

Check him out at www.custombassrods.com Nothing Better out there....( for me)

My finnesse rod is 6' M, why? Because they didn't sell 6'6" M with the combo.

The rod I use when I am Finesse Fishing ( 8 lb test, 7' rod, Round Ball Jighead ( 1/8 oz) is Medium-Light Action...I normally fish this pattern with a NetBait Finesse Worm or a Paca Chunk rigged to the 1/8 oz Shaky Head Jig....

6'6 m action. I like to splitshot with luck-e-strike razor worms or zoom trick worms if I need a bigger bait, or fish small tubes with light jigheads in them, those are my two favorite finnese teqniques. I cath lots of bass on these. Because I mostly fish either a gin clear lake or varios high pressure ponds, if im not dealing with a good amount of cover ( were I pitch and flip ) finnese fishing is basicallly the only fishing with plastics I do( besides tiki stiking).
