Default Took a little Trip Today

Drove down to South Florida today so my sister could sign some papers for the house she's purchasing down there. Oh darn, now I've got a reason to fish the South Florida canal system, ITS ONLY GOT THE BEST CATCH RATES IN THE COUNTRY for LM at just over 4 an hour on avg. I was only able to sqeeze in about 15 minutes of fishing today, on the side of the Interstate, in suit and tie, managed to bring in 2, one being about 1.5 lbs, the other being about 2.5. Not bad considering the circumstances. I might have to start wearing a suit and tie everytime I go fishing.

you'll be drooling the entire drive, regardless of the route, Once you get anywhere near Lake O, its just mile after mile after mile of canals. Just in the town alone where my sister is moving, there is 377 miles of canals, THIS IS IN ONE SMALL TOWN.

About 3 years ago my brother graduated from UNA - which is in Florence right there on Pickwick lake. I dressed in a suit and tie for it, missed the first 15 minutes of the ceremony cause I was drivin back from the lake where I had been hitting the bank. Its hard getting around on the rocks on wingtips.

My friend and I were talking about taking a small boat, either a zodiac or a canoe, and just cruising the area with a trolling motor.... once one of us gets a license and can drive down there. But it looks like awesome fishing in some areas, you can catch tarpon, snook, redfish, peacock bass, and largemouths in the same canal. If thats not awesome, I don't know what is.

yeah, I'm definately ready to take my little john boat down there, would be perfect for the canals.

Wingtips don't do good in mud either, lol.

Cant say i've ever been fishing in a suit and tie but i have been NUMEROUS times in a baseball uniform, leave the field straight to the pond or river for some good ole' night fishing. I love to play baseball, but fishing truley has become my passion.
