Look great!

IMO, you might need to add more top water lures, such as Zara Spook and some buzzbait. Along with lots crankbaits, you probably need add at least one spinnerbait.

I would say you propably catch more fish by using the Senko Kit than the others. However, for me, when you use Senko or Tiki worm, what kind hook you use is crucial thing. So why don't you show us your hook collection.

BTW, what do you think of the Gulp? lol...

well i just whent fishing today in the bayou behind my house. and i got hung up in the rocks when i was using my spinner bait. the gulps are o.k they smell like poo and u can only use them 1 time before they dry up and get as hard as a rock. i do have a buzz bait in the right side u just can barely see it. the reason i dont use top water lures is that i dont get alot of strikes on them. i have had the best of luck with the deep runners and the worms.

by the way i had to pay for all of that stuff u see in the pics. the reels and everything. my paps wouldnt even help me out on 1 little lure.

Your fish is a tilapia I believe.

2 items noticeably missing: spinnerbaits and a jig-n-pig. You are selling yourself short not having them in your arsenal.

Jig-n-pig:

It is a lead head with a rubber skirt and a plastic or pork chunk as a trailer. GREAT fish catcher-I've had my best luck on black/blue and watermelon. I match the trailer to the color of the jig.

Yeah you are right on one side. Top water lures are not very effective over all, even in early morning and later afternoon. However, on the other side, using top water lures is the most excited way to catch bass!

All you need is patience. Just don't give up to try them. With more confidence, you will find the approach to catch the fish, specially in shallow.

I deeply recommend you to get a Zara Spook somehow. Walking' dog will bring you a big bass sooner or later.

It is definitely a Tilapia and they are a freshwater fish.

To be specific, I believe your fish is a Blue Tilapia.

They can grow as large or larger than bass.

i dont use the pig-n-jig alot because my lake has the wierdest weeds on the bottom just like a pillow all over lake.not even a c-rig can hold up.they are putting grass carp in it to eat it.but you still need one.just hop it up & down on the bottom.i used it on other lakes and it was fine.like reb said watermelon and black and blue.strike king has decent ones, but micromunches are really good.like i said earlier, use a yum 2.5in chunk
it has that scent to it and its just like a pork trailer except i use it because if it folds and it get stuck on the hook,i can still get a good hookset, while the pork i cant because its thick and hooks dont go through easily

Not sure if it is or not-I do know they are stocked in a lake just south of here and are fish commercially out of the lakes in Mexico, which are fresh water. It might be one of those fish that can survive in both salt and fresh water.

they are definitely freshwater, trust me.

They come from the freshwaters of Africa and ...Asia I think it is. They are used in many freshwater waters because they are mainly an algae eater and that kind of stuff. You have to be careful though because they spawn like crazy and can take over a pond if they aren't being eaten often.

I meant by fish, lol. You need a population of bass that are large enough to want to eat them. I don't think one person eating them would be enough to keep the numbers in control.
