hey everyone
thanks for ur help i cought 4 big ones no small ones i use a 4 inch senko first nothing. then i tried a buzzbait nothing. then i tried a frog it didnt work at all so i thought and i thought. i put on a jig with a spider jig tail, that work i caught my first keeper at 430 it was 5 lbs. my second one was the same spot i caught my 1st one in like 5 mins. it was 3.5 lbs. so i stayed there for 20 mins more and i caught a 2.5 lb bass that was my third. so i stayed at the spot for another 30 mins but nuttin so i move at another spot but it was getting dark. so i threw it by a tree in the water and i caught a 6.7 lbs bass it was big. then i left to go home so that was my day at the pond. im going friday so any one can give me advice on the pond again tell me and i might go to a lake where thier is a water fall and theres rocks and i dont know what to use. theres a bridge to so tell me what i should use. dan |

Nice fish, Still haven't gotten any fish that size. I need to get out for the November Tournament. Dunno if I can since I'm fishing saltwater on Saturday for some flatties (flounder).

1st bass 5.00lbs 2nd bass 3.50lbs 3rd bass 2.50lbs 4th bass 6.70lbs total 17.70lbs Just wondering where you live that you can catch that kinda weight in a few hours. Sure it can happen, but pretty rare. Lizards

Hey, my biggest catch is 4.5 lbs, however on the same day i also caught a 4 pounder and a 2.5 pounder as well as several 1 pounders, all in the course of 3 hours...not quite the same sizes, but overall i probably cuaght 14 lbs that day...it certainly is possible.

I think it's possible because I have had some experiences where I have caught more. The lake where I was getting these 6 lbers I was talking about has a creek channle that runs through it and is about 15 feet deep in the channle. Usually summer is the best time for me to target big ones because they sit on this channle.Anytime you can find a lake with a creek channle going through it and it's deep you got some big ones in there probably.

Liz on the bigger lakes around here it usually takes over 20 pounds to win with 5 fish. I don't fish the bigger lakes though. On Rend usually 20 pounds will win. Lake of the ozarks I have seen people weigh in 22 pounds there before. You get a lot of people in the smaller tournaments that know all the spots and they just move from one to another.

When I was young, I knew everything there was to know.As I got older, I must have lost most of my knowledge because I am amazed at the stuff I am learning since I am older. P N J
