Yesterday I got to a freinds house on the lake so he could put my boat in using his farm tractor. We have 4" of snow on the ground here, The lake water temp was 45 degrees,I fished a stair stepped slope of the bluff and caught 4 smallmouth bass 1-1.5 lb in weight.Normally It would have been a bad day,the fish were small, but I was happy to catch what I did. I used a Yamamoto 3.5" (#23 color) tube on a 1/4oz. tube jighead. This fish were caught in the 18-25 foot depth on spinning gear (8 lb test sufix seige line )which is something different for me to be using.
