Guided fishing trip to Florida
Has anyone done a guided fishing trip with A #1 guiding services out of orlando, or any other guides in Florida?

BassinTom-
I fished with ol' Pete about a week ago on Walk in Water. We didn't catch alot of bass but I caught a 7 pound bowfin which is a mud fish to him, and a couple of nice bull heads which he called butter beans. That guy is a character and is pretty interesting to listen too. He's got some good stories from when he fished the tour! He made me back his boat in for him, but the ramp on the lake is screwed up (just like florida's highways) so I almost jack-knifed his trail, he just laughed though. He gave me a bunch of crap because I was wearing my quantum hooded sweat shirt and he doesn't like quantum, and I was calling gator grass swamp smart weed which is the true name. So the rest of the day he called me smart weed. I had a good laugh with him! Last edited by fishn'fool; 01-06-06 at 01:38 PM. |

Man toho is in bad shape right now. So is the kissimee chain. Lots of hydrilla and it has become immune to the pesticides used. Everybody calls a bowfin a mudfish down here!

BassinTom: He's still got his triton classic addition. We were going 60 over a very choppy Walk in Water! He just looked at me and said "smooth ride isn't it!"
Yeah Toho is pretty bad I guess. I've heard the hurricane was hard on it this past year. Is the monkey box still in existence? |

A1 Guide
It is worthit to drive to Felsmere and try either Hugh crumpler or Imagination Bass Service. They are both terrific guides on Stickmarsh.

Too much hydrilla? When I was down there in early April the big complaint was it was all gone on Hatch and Kissimmee cause of the hurricanes. I mean you could find some, but not the big beds - and the K grass and the rushes were too thin as well.
