What Bandit lure works best and what color?

There really is no best color of Bandit. Each one has it's own best scenario. I usually stick with chartreuse rootbeer or shad color in the 200 series for most of my Bandit fishing.

Good cranks-Don't really have a favorite color-like K-Driz said, each depends on a particular scenario.

GREAT cranks GREAT price covers the whole water column and enough colors to catch just about anything. A little hint great hooks but wont hold up to tomany quality bass. When you remove the factory hooks use the short shank gammys. Less hanginup and better hook ups and a tad bit more of a roll on the retrive.

Some people laugh at me at the way I have organized my tackle. I got all my cranks in the respective boxes that are marked 0-2',2'-4' etc..etc.. Then I got 4 more plano 3700's 2 of which are only Bagley Balsa B's and 2 are ONLY Bandits. No I dont like em. Everyone needs to not buy them so I can have em all.LOL Fish em u cant go wrong.

Color......a couple of good ones locally are the rootbeer back with white sides and orange belly for clearer water and rootbeer back with chartreuse sides and orange belly for stained. Some swear by the silver one with blue back as a good all around bait, and for crappie, try the black and white splatterback, white sides and chartreuse belly.
Personally I think you will just have to try them out so you can determine what works the best. Asking around at the local baitshops might work the best of all...they know what sells well in your area. |

The yellow craw and orange craw work best for me. Agree with Fastlaser that the hooks need replacing. Most come with the Mustad triple grip hooks which hold very well but the smaller sizes will open up on you especially when fishing for smallmouth. Otherwise these are very good cranks.

Be sure and try the coffin bill Flatt Max from bandit. Two good colors are citrus shad and the balck and white splatter back with yellow belly. Fish2win

Man u got it. Bandit has got a bait that is awsome. Fished side by side with the 20 dollar cranks and outfished or caught just as many. I buy 5 bandits they buy 1.LOL what gives.

I checked out the bandit lures this weekend and couldn't see a whole lot of dif from my bomber crankbaits, I am sure both brands will do the job when needed.

Last week I picked up a Bandit in Black. Nothing fancy, just plain black. I bought the black one because I don't have any cranks in black. I have several topwaters that work in well in just plain black and I thought, perhaps, on the right day, a black crankbait may do the trick.

I guess were the only ones who like Bomber's I also have some Bandits, and lots of other plugs. My 2 best producing ones are the Bomber B in Crawdad, and the Mann's -1 in Grey Ghost. I've caught fish on lots of others, but those 2 seem to produce better than all the others for me. Of course since I keep catching fish on them, I use them more than anything else too Lizards
