Default Fishing Awards

Have any of yall gotten any fishing awards from the Department of Game and Fisheries in your state? Over here they have angler of the month, angler of the year, trophy fish awards, creel of the year, state record fish, expert and master angler awards. for catching trophy fish ( for bass here it is 22 inches and 8 lbs and above). or things like that?

I do, but not bragging about it. I have 4 trophys right above the pc, the first one I got was Goodsportsman of year award, got another for enviromental achievement(road clean up for years and also lake xmas tree placements)...also a angler of the year for my club, and another for federation region5....first one was in 93, 94, 97 and 97

cranky,
the back is wood, then a trophy of a bass, then some writing on gold plated metal, behind that is a blue swirl marble...
On the angler of the year for region5 is a wood plaque with brass name tags of pervious winners and then me, and the other two have bass emblems that are bout 3inch around with gold plated writing.

thanks, when you run a bass club you end up being a tournament director, have to plan kids casting contests, kids fishing contests, along with the regular adult tournaments , and state meetings, club meetings, highway/lake cleanups, dumping about 600 xmas trees with blocks tied to them at huestonwoods state park, along with dnr and park rangers. Also going to stores in town looking for donations for the kids tournies..the hard part was getting all the federation members to show up at all these functions, due to work schedules plus other tournament circuits we fished..most of my past fishing buddies/tournament partners all have the same trophies for other years that I didnt win, over 10 years it kinda all rotates , some guys get involved or win more than other years..the general "go getter" in my clubs were generally in their mid 30...had a good job, wife , kids, and now developing thier own life in a bass club.
