Cajun Red costs what?

Seeing how I didn't get all the items I wanted yesterday, I elected to go in our Kmart just to see if they had anything, and finally came across the cajun red fishing line that many on here had made positive comments about.
So I picked up a spool of 14lb and found some 1/8th ounce lead jig heads for my grubs....was looking for Manns products and the Hank Parker Classic, but no luck , this store only is carrying selective brands. But I did find an exact replica of the classic, same gold colorado blades and skirt, and out the door I headed... I go to the patio and garden section to get out easy, however since Wallmart built last year across the street, Kmart is a ghost town.......anyways, I go to the check out and some gay guy that weighed,,,lets see, about 550 lbs, started checking me out and was nice and all, he scanned the cajun red and BEEP, the item wouldnt scan.
He calls the manager for price check, I yell to the clerk its 4.49...I knew that didn't sound right, but some amish lady behind me looked like she was reaching for a box cutter as she winked at me....
the manager says its 4.99 a box, So I figure, ring it up einstien..he scans again and it BEEPS, he has a hissy fit and calls again...this time (in a gay way) that he must be having a blonde moment and has figured it all out, he'll just key it in...mind you this is eaton,ohio, hog county, and gawd knows what inbred musta "got busy" with a hog 25 years ago and produced this clown...
So he keys it in and goes to me .49¢ ...i look at him, the amish lady giggles, and I promptly give him the money....
After that the bait monkey REALLY bite hard, I ran out to the Probe and cut across the street to wallyworld and got about 57 bucks more worth of stuff I couldn't find at basspro LOL....
About 1/2 way home I remembered I was supposed to spend that 50 bucks on kerosene for the heaters at home..and of course its way to cold to fish here, snow and ice today...but all n all I am happy with my 49cent line!
That cajun red looks mighty fine to me, I am going to spool it up on one bait caster and see what happens....

well i use the red cajun line and have been extremely happy with it....in fact i just upgraded to the 14 lb test myself....i use the 8 and 12 already...so i am sure you'll like it....if you don't though send it to me i'll use it for ya....lol.....

Try P-line. I promise you knowing you fish as much as you do you'll throw that red stuff away. More abrasion resistant,less stretch, more sensitivity, and can pull a battleship up. Its only flaw that I can say is that it has some memory. Fishing as much as some of does dont see it alot bt if you do a shot of reel magic cures it.

I like to try things out ..I too noticed the tremendous amount of memory on this red line, I'll probably stretch it out a tad a give it a try, if it doesn't work Kmart is getting sued fer 49¢..rofl

Out of all the lines I have tried to this point, I will say that P line has got to be the best for me. But, I did try the Cajun Red recently, and haven't had any problems with it. It is supposed to be the first color to vanish completely in the water, but I'm not a bass so I can't say for sure.

4). salt - (not for the table, instead for storing the plastics)

oh yea I can take it!...you've never met a easier going guy than me....good thing its warmed up to a whopping 30 degrees today, the furnace can run a tad till payday...plus we keep the mansion a cool 64 degrees during the times we are there, and 61 at night.

Laser i do use P-Line too....i just wanted a nice mono that i could use as well....and that cajun red line is very good in my humble opinion....i'll be glad to take it off your hands if your not satisfied with it JB....just send it over here....oh and by the way....thannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnk you for changing your avatar picture.....that other one was really creeping me out there darlin.....wink wink....

I bought some of the Cajun Red about three years back. This was when they still only made one type. Cannot recommend it for spinning reels. Lot's of memory. The Red cast has supposodly solved this problem.

they have solved the problem...i am using 8 lb test on my shimano sahara now....and it's great....excellent casting distance and not too much memory that i have noticed....

Love the cajun red
use 6 and 8 on okuma spining reels
12 on Shimano Bantam 200, and Penn Slammer 360
hit all reels with reel magic have not had problem with memory, once I got the right amount of line on reels.
Did have a problem with some pro over runs but as much as I would like to blame line I think it was more the nut on the end of the rod.

bassintxlady - thanx, good to know. I cannot say I am too convinced about the "invisible to fish" bit, but I find the red colour very visible contrasted against the milky colour water I fish. Makes line watching easy when fishing plastics and jigs.

the color is cool the price is good but I hate the memory and I've tried the Red cast. Works great as a leader on the braid line

i don't use braided line it tears up the eyelets and puts alot of wear on the reels....i pay too much for them to do that to them...but as long as i can get a big fish in the boat like i'm doin then it's good for me....
