Default On the safe side-Insurance

Reading Laser's post on the everything else board reminded me of something I do periodically just in case:

I do 2 things-first, I make a list of every rod and reel-brand and model number-that I can give to the insurance company if the worst happens.

Second: I open every tackle box and bag and take a photo of each one and burn it to CD. Proof to the insurance company if I have to file a claim.

A lot of us have several thousand dollars worth of tackle, and having proof can make all the difference.

Rebbasser, do you have a seperate policy on your fishing items or does your homeowners cover them. I can remember when I asked my agent if my camera and related leneses, etc. were covered. His answer was for me to get seperate coverage to cover everything. I'd hate to think everything was covered only to find out it isn't.

Bob, I have a separate rider on my boat insurance. Homeowners probably covers it but I wanted to make sure I am covered.
