Im using 10 lb stren clear line on my mitchell 300 reel good choice or bad.

Yep, I think that will work just fine. Â*One suggestion: Â*No matter how you put the line on the reel, you will get line twist. Â*There are a couple fixes. Â*If you are fishing in a boat, let the line with nothing tied to it trail behind the boat while you are running. Â*If not, take it outside, open the bail, grab the tag end and start walking-once again, make sure you have nothing tied to the end of the line. Â*When you reach the end, wind it back on using your fingers to keep it tight on the reel. Â*As you pull it through your fingers it will untwist. Â*That can save you some MAJOR headaches by not having to untangle loops that occasionally happen with spinning gear due to line twist.

i will work when your fishin open water and weed but dont try to throw it in heavy cover to much.

I've used 10# clear Stren a lot, without problems. I think it's a fine overall line. Occasionally, I have a little trouble seeing it, but that's not the line's fault.
