Disagree, I haven't won a tournament in many years, but have cashed checks. Winning tournament doesn't get sponsors, if you win every tournament you enter but won't tell what your doing or the bait your using, what good are you to a sponsor. ROI (Return on investment) that is what a sponsor is looking for! Can you help him sell his product, and are your knowledgeable about fishing in general and his product. Look at a book call "How to Fish for Free". I know guys that win alot of tournaments but can't get sponsors, because they are not approachable!! And don't take a sponsorship just to have it, make sure you believe in the product first, I was a recruiter for the Marine Corps for several years, I can tell right away when I talk to someone wearing sponsor colors if that individual actually believes in that product or not! You must be available to do show also, not just on the water!! As a matter of fact send me your res, I'm might be looking to expand my Pro Staff.
