Not impressed with the Live pointer at all. And never have used the Kicktail. I would say the Rapala X-RAP is a better jerk bait then the Live Pointer IMHO.

I haven't tried either but I wouldn't waste my money on a TV bait, such as the Kicktail.

im guess live pointer in what ive heard and seen. maybe im wrong.

I dont really like either bait but the kicktail is junk I had a live pointer and it sunk didnt suspend at all. My favorite jerkbaits are Staysee's a Pointer 100's

Sometimes Custumes the reason why they sink is because they are designed for cold water fishing and when the water temperature changes they sink rather than suspend. Being that you are in Cal. you probably don't get real cold water to fish it in but during the winter in cold water that bait will probably suspend for you.
