Default Lost a HAWG

I took a good friend of mine fishing yesterday and we had a pretty good morning. Mark caught his best bass ever on a buzzbait. It weighed 6lbs even. We switched ponds and I started throwing a crankbait (Rapala DT10 Bluegill pattern). I thought I was hung in a brush pile (Brush pile was at the bottom of dropoff) but I was actually hung in a monster bass. I fought her all around the boat trying to keep her head down and when I was bringing her in to the net she made one more jump and threw my crankbait out! I was devistated! I think she would have weighed at least 8lbs. What a fat toad! I was sick to my stomach for about 10 minutes and it took me a while to get over that one. It was fun getting her to the boat but I would have loved to see what she weighed plus get a picture of me holding her. Oh well... I'll just have to go again soon and maybe luck up next time!
