Question Bass Ponds

I was fishing at these Bass ponds the other day i wasnt there long maybe only fifteen twenty minutes so i didnt expect anything but i didnt see anyone there at all. it was empty all four of them. Ive heard that you can get huge fish out of them and i heard you never catch anything from them. They are very nice size ponds but i can only reach one shore if i want to go to another shore i either have to go swimming or walk through the thickest thing of briars (thorn bushes) that i have ever seen. Does anyone have any suggestions. Or even what i should use out there.

I once walked a short distance away from a lake I had fished all morning long without success to a nearby pond so small two casts would cover the diameter. I started tossing a tandem spinner made by Terminator. In 6 casts I had five very nice size bass, all above 3 pounds. Maybe try a spinnerbait?

I would try some soft plastics, smaller spinnerbaits, and jigs in small ponds. Maybe even a few crankbaits.

One suggestion I didn't see. Buy a pair of field jeans or brush jeans. This would make the walk to the other ponds a little more bearable. As far as catching fish, everything above nailed it pretty good.

I actually am surprised that noone has posted the greatest piece of advice. Experiment and try everything. My friend once caught a 3.5 lber on a wacky rigged fat albert under a bobber. Try stuff you thought would never work.

That one weighted 6 pounds. Not bad for the first fish of the year when I caught him just after ice out, LOL.
