Need the heat back and the high humidity. Pleasent cool winds last night kept the fish in there beds and not out hunting like they should. Two fish and one was tagged. Both on Wacko Worms. Please get up to 100 degrees again!!!
It ain't over yet...still some good hot days left.. Capt Mike

Did you catch good numbers this week or was it a little slow?? Looks like we'll be in the 80's or low 90's for a while.

Had a rough day of fishing on Sunday. Couldn't find fish anywhere! Caught a couple short fish on top water on a grass bed at high tide. Put one keeper in the boat late in the day. Didn't catch a fish in the no-wake zone! NBC tournaments are over on the river.

When the lower section gets tough like that I move up to grass beds at WW bridge. They seem to turn on each year when the lower section turns off. Still need some warmer weather.

Don't think it was that slow...friend who won the Potomac Division weighed 15+ that day. Just a tough bite for us and what we were fishing. Flood tide wasn't the best for us this summer. Most of our better fish and numbers came on the mid-tide level either incoming or outgoing. The keepers that we did get last weekend came close to the mid-tide level.
