As summer dies down and fall kicks in I get depressed about all the nights I missed to go fishing. 7 years ago I would have been excited about moving operations down to salt water and fishing for convict bass. Not so any more since the fishing in the lower Potomac took a dramatic down turn. Convict bass are plentiful but just not big enough for my customer base. Who wants to catch two hundred 12 inch rockfish? But I digress and have made lemonaid from the down turn. I am now gearing up for monster catfish and the return of schools of slab crappie. Not as many customers as 7 years ago and beyond but still enough to keep the glow.. I have a few more LGmouth trips and will post reports.
Come end of November I will be in Nags Head surf fishing till next year. Capt Mike

I see more guides on Ky. Lake having crappie clients than largemouth bass, but I know where you're comming from.

Nope, it's still hurricane season rotfl. I can't wait for the cool down, and the bass bite to turn up.
