its just getting to the tough times, now is when you have to really dig down to figure them out. Right now my local lake is getting tough as well. My best answer so far has been finesse tackle with a straight tail worm on a jig head, but hopefully the deep cranking bite will begin soon.

Welcome to the nut house
There are several folks from OHIO here on the site. I live in Indiana so not to far from you. The biggest problem has been weather stability, one day it's freezing the next day it's 75 degress. Bass don't like severe changes in the weather it shuts them off. The spawn will be happening soon if it hasn't in your area already. When you have drastic weather changes the fish hold tight to cover, so your baits need to be close to cover and in their face, and even then they may not bite. Keep chucking the baits, they will come back on. The only other concern I would have, is that you fish 4 lakes, are these smaller lakes or bigger lakes? Smaller lakes have a tendency sometimes to be overfished.Lizards |

It's the total opposite here. Bass are hitting almost everything I throw at them! Outside Temp. today was 91 degrees.
