Any of you ever buy trophies online for your kids soccer team or something? I've been tasked with, among other things, acquiring trophies for our club this year, and there are a lot of companies to choose from, would like to hear some positive/negative experiences if you guys have any, thanks!

are you doing it for your bass club? if so,you should look at getting a plaque for the top 3 of each tourney, and putting a tag on it that says they won,etc... 1 plaque per person, and if they already have a plaque, guve them a tag. my club does that and its sorta exspensive, but it looks pretty cool when you have about 10 tags on your plaque!

I don't take in enough fees for that, I've sorta taken over this year, from pulling the strings from behind the curtain for the past 7
![]() I'm gonna lower fees even more next year, put more money in the winning pockets ![]() |

I've been trying to lower fees for 5 years, I always got voted out by the next guy up. Well, he's quitting, and that leaves nobody higher than me, so they're dropping

How about just a nice certificate. I'm all for lowering fees, you can even give yourself a raise LOL.

I don't make any money off this, and they've already been promised trophies. I'm gonna do something different next year, just don't know what yet

I've already decided to not do as nice a trophy next year, too late for them
![]() ![]() Man, I'd gladly take $1 hour, i've always 'run' the club from behind the curtain. I do the site, the promotional stuff, field requests, recruit, etc, etc. I'd be friggin rich by now ![]() |

I don't know how big your club is but we have raffles for items we get from the local tackle shop in town after our regular meetings. Our tourney fees go to winner payouts, insurance, web site, and the end of the year banquet. We've been dealing with the high costs of awards too. So we only have two plaques now, Angler of the year and no-boater of the year. Big fish trophy will be a fiberglass mount of the fish in question. Then big draw sack, big team sack, and so on will be gift certificates, any way all and all everybody is happy with the out come.

My bass club used to give out the big bass of the year trophy, angler of the year plaque, and another angler of the year plaque that traveled each year to the newest winner, and had a list of previous winnners by year.
We held a small percentage back on all activities like tournies and had a huge banquet/dinner for all members and wives, I think the members still had to kick in 20-30 bucks for a steak dinner at our meeting place...we always picked a bar/restaurant to meet, so the smokers in the club or drinkers could have some at the meeting. I liked getting prize money for competition, but also treasure all my plaques and trophies that I collected over the years. |

We do somethign similar to what JB's club did, we take in a fee to join, that pays for the web, hats/shirts if we do them, club equipment (we just bought an Equalizer scale, that's why we are so broke!), and the remainder for a cookout. We did a restaurant once, but we got too rowdy for them
