I've gathered these questions and many more in the past few days.
What is a deadfall? Is there a difference between striper and striped bass? Can someone give me tips on night bass fishing? what is a trailer? I heard that when I get backlash, instead of pulling line out, just apply a lot of pressure to the spool and slowly reel. I tried it and it worked. Any of you ever heard of this? I don't have any sinkers right now. What are some daily objects I could practice casting with? Thanks Julien Last edited by jooleyen; 09-27-06 at 05:54 PM. |

A trailer, as opposed to a trailer hook, is a piece of soft plastic added to a lure such as a skirted jig, spinnerbait or buzzbait. People believe they have value for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons might be added bulk, slows the fall, enhances appearance and enhances action.
This is a Booyah Boogee Bait, one of the Chatterbait knockoffs. The thing you see extending out at the back of the lure is a split tail plastic trailer. It's supplied with the lure and it's the angler's choice whether or not to thread it onto the hook shank and use it. ![]()
