Default new x-rap

I've been hearing alot about this new rapala x-rap and want to give 'em a try. But of course I can't find any around here. Or are they just another bleeder bait?

Welcome to the forum!

No, they are not a bleeding bait. They are a suspending jerk/slash bait that look great in the water and flat catch fish. I keep one tied on at all times.

I just bought three the day before yesterday. 'Purple gold' seemed to be good to me in catalog, but it was out of stock everywhere I went. I bought a silver blue, perch, and olive green instead. I have not tried it for bassing yet.

i use the glass ghost more than anything looks and moves almost exactly like a fluke in the water. with better hook percentage. i like the salt water version because to me the hand tied teaser is pretty lame. that is the only thing i have found not to my liking on any of them as a whole.

I've got two of them and really like the action. I've had some luck with them so far.

Hula- I'm going to send you money so you can buy me some. Those things are going for at least 5 bucks a pop here in Indy.

I personally like them a whole lot better than the Lucky Craft live pointer I got. I have used it and the action is superb, and have caught fish with them also. Just not as many as I like yet

Welcome the the site. The x-rap is just a very very good suspending jerk bait. I use either a med or med/heavy rod. I will use superlines with it, since it's not like a regular crank to me. I don't worry about yanking the bait out of the fishes mouth, since they hook themselves very well when they hit it.
