Default Bass Club

Finally found a bass club to join. The school i attend has a bass fishing club called the UNC Charlotte Bass Rats. They are sponsored by BPS and are working on getting some more sponsors. They hold tournaments for the members and points are accumulated for the place you finish in those tournaments and the top 2 guys at the end of the year attend an ESPN sponsored college tournament. I was pretty excited to be able to share my hobby with some other guys at my school.

They've got a similar deal at NC State, I think they call themselves the Basspack (the Wolfpack). Do you guys fish against other schools for total weight or something, or is it an individual deal?

I've spoken to Jonathan in Rosco's a few times, nice fellow. One of the guys was briefly in our club, his buddy with a boat left in Feb, and we haven't seen him since

Howed they get BPS to sponsor them! I am on my college bass team but its more like a group of rednecks that likes to fish and drink beer. Tried to organize a few tourneys with other schools but they won't even look at us. Most of the guys don't even have boats. Maybe a sponsor would gettem a little more serious.

Thanks and sorry, didn't mean to jack you post.

We have a BPS less then 5 minutes down the road from the school. I dont know what all the sponsorship encompasses, i dont have anything to do with that side of the club, but we have our team meetings in the store.
