Default high rock 10-28-06

air temp 53 water temp 63 water was stained. blue bird sky lots and lots of wind. the two of us did a short run first thing into a quiet creek tried top water as the bass were busting no top water bites.. in the back of the creek heading out i caught this lil feller on the blade.

as we were about 1/2 way out i turned to laugh at his situation-he was into a tree-leaving my bandit 100 floating boat side. when a fish-small- grabbed the bait almost rippng the rod out of my hands..
we fished the mouth of this creek both of us catching 10-12" bass. well it was 8am or so and i had to run to smileys for #1 oil #2 post dawn biscuit. after this i ran to crane creek where much to my chagrin i lost my badit 100 i replaced it with a norman f-tiger. we caught nothing in crane creek -how strange- i ran thru gaining winds to the crow picking up a 2 pound bass at the mouth of it. he fought like a bass twice his size.

as we were fishing up crow my partner catches a really good fish only to lose him at boat side..

i catch a short fish from a brush pile. as i hang a carpet -on a dock- and have to walk up the dock to cut it free. he catches a barely leagel bass on a tube. as we are moving fast and furious troller on 4 to stay straight. i catch a monster he fought like mad pullin drag and making the line twang..of course we agreed that i need to take his picture so i did..

there is 18" of him still in the water

what makes this funnier is we both are members of an nc fishing forum. that has a "the biggest stick " caught photographed and released tourny
lol-think this one will win??

we headed back to the launch at noonish both wearing rain gear as the main lake was throwing up 3-4 footers along with 50+ mph winds at times..we were moist when we hit the launch..

had alot of fun fishing with this guy.

Sounds like a pretty good day on the lake. Bummer about the bandit. Yea, the wind here has really been kicking.
